Zap! started out as a fanzine (newsletter) that I founded in 1991 as a teen, on an Atari 1040STe and a dot matrix computer. The first issue was September, 1991. It covered mostly classic systems and computers, with some newer stuff as well. It was a pain to publish, and it bit the dust by early 1993. It was reviewed in the April, 1993 issue of Electronic Games.
In 1997, Zap! went on the web through a Geocities site. In January of 2009, it moved to its own domain with a forum board. Everyone here is invited to come check it out at http://www.zaponline.org/forums.
In addition to Zap!, I have been on TV Pixx! in 1979 at the age of 6, was in Electronic Gaming Monthly for getting the #1 score in Monster Lair, and own 50+ video game systems, 1,000's of games, and 500+ magazines.
Zap! is dedicated exclusively to classic video gaming discussion, and preserving gaming of the past. Zap! will stream games from multiple systems and eras, most however will be from the 80's to early 90's. Occasionally you might see a PS2 game streaming.
Well, that's pretty much it for now. Enjoy and please follow!
